Privacy Policy
Last updated October 23, 2026
This policy explains what personal data the Chart Coach app and website handle, why, who else processes it, and your rights. Chart Coach is published by Dmitry Dubovetskyi, an individual developer based in Ukraine, who is the controller of your data ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@chartcoach.app.
In short: we collect what's needed to run your account, your subscription, your chart reports and your wallet reviews. There are no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and we don't sell your data.
What we collect
Account
- Your email address, or the private-relay or real email Apple shares with us if you use Sign in with Apple, and an account identifier. If you add a name or profile photo to your account, we store those too.
- Our sign-in provider, Clerk, also records session data needed to keep you signed in securely, such as session tokens, the time of sign-ins, your IP address and basic device or app information.
- Our own database stores only your account identifier, not your email or name.
Chart images and reports
- The chart you photograph or pick, and nothing else: the camera is used only while you're taking a chart photo, and screenshots come from the system photo picker, so Chart Coach can't see the rest of your library. The app downsizes the image and re-encodes it as JPEG before uploading it.
- The AI report for each image, the symbol, timeframe and asset class it detected, the language of the report, and when you made it. The image and report are saved to your history so you can reopen them.
Wallets and reviews
- The public wallet addresses you add, their network, and any label you give them.
- Trading statistics we compute from the address's public on-chain history (such as PnL, win rate, drawdown and hold times), the account snapshot and open positions for Hyperliquid, up to 100 recent trades, and the AI coaching review, which contains inferences about your trading style and habits.
- A cache of each address's public trade history, kept by address so it doesn't need to be downloaded again. It contains only data that's already public on the blockchain and isn't linked to your account.
Chart Coach never asks for private keys, seed phrases or signatures. Keep in mind that a wallet address can identify you if it's linked to you elsewhere; only add addresses you're comfortable having analyzed.
Subscription and usage
- Whether you're subscribed, your plan, its expiry date, and subscription events (such as purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds, including product, price, currency, store country and transaction identifiers) that our subscription provider, RevenueCat, sends us. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
- Daily counts of your analyses and wallet reviews, used for fair-use limits.
- RevenueCat's in-app SDK uses your account identifier and receives your App Store purchase information and basic device and app details (such as device model, iOS and app version, locale and IP address).
Technical data
- Like any internet service, our servers receive your IP address and request details. Our server logs, kept by our hosting provider, record technical details such as the endpoint, status, timing and network information, and in a few cases your account identifier (for example when an account is deleted). The app also sends your preferred languages so reports come back in your language.
- On your device, the app stores a few preferences, such as language, appearance and whether you've seen the intro.
Support
- The emails you send us and our replies.
We don't collect your contacts, precise location, browsing history or advertising identifier. The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs, and the website doesn't use cookies, analytics or ads.
Why we use it, and our legal bases
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR) |

| Analyze charts and keep your history | Chart images, reports, language | Contract |
| Review the wallets you add | Wallet addresses, labels, on-chain data, statistics, reviews | Contract |
| Provide and check your subscription | Subscription data, account identifier | Contract |
| Prevent abuse, enforce fair-use limits, keep the service reliable and secure | Usage counts, technical data, logs | Our legitimate interest in a secure, sustainable service |

| Accounting, tax and other legal duties; legal claims | Subscription records | Legal obligation; legitimate interest |
We don't use your data for advertising, don't sell it, and don't make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. The AI reports are generated for you to read; they don't affect your account.
Who processes your data
These service providers process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Cloudflare (USA): hosts our website and server, our database and the storage for chart images, and forwards support email.
- Clerk (USA): accounts, sign-in and sign-in emails.
- RevenueCat (USA): subscription management.
- Anthropic (USA): its Claude AI models analyze your chart images and write wallet reviews. Anthropic receives the chart image or the computed wallet statistics and trades, plus the requested language. We don't send it your email, account identifier or wallet address. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic doesn't train its models on this data.
- Google (USA): the mailbox that receives support email.
Apple handles App Store payments and Sign in with Apple as an independent controller, under its own privacy policy.
To build a wallet review, our server looks up the address you added with public blockchain data providers: Hyperliquid's public API, Helius or the public Solana RPC, Etherscan and Alchemy. They receive the wallet address (which is already public on its blockchain) from our server, not from your device, so they don't get your IP address or any account details.
Some of these providers are in the United States or other countries outside yours. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and their UK equivalents).
How long we keep it
- Chart images and reports, wallets and reviews: until you delete them in the app, or delete your account.
- Account, subscription and usage data: while your account exists.
- Server logs: a few days, at most 30.
- Support emails: up to two years after the conversation ends.
- The address-keyed cache of public trade history: as long as it's useful; it isn't linked to you.
Deleting your account: in the app, go to Profile › Delete account. This immediately deletes your account data from our database (your chart history and images, wallets, reviews, usage counts and subscription records), deletes your sign-in account at Clerk, and deletes your customer record at RevenueCat. Deleted data can remain in our database provider's point-in-time recovery backups for up to 30 days before it's overwritten. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel that first in your iPhone's Settings. You can also email hello@chartcoach.app from the address you signed in with, and we'll delete your account within 30 days. Apple keeps its own purchase records under its privacy policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR in the EU and EEA, the UK GDPR, Ukraine's Law on Personal Data Protection, and US state laws such as California's CCPA/CPRA, you can ask to:
- access your data and get a copy of it in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data (you can also do this yourself in the app);
- restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- withdraw any consent you've given, without affecting earlier processing.
Write to hello@chartcoach.app. We'll answer within 30 days (45 days under California law) and may need to confirm it's really you. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights. You can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the one in your EU country, the UK ICO, or the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
California residents: in the past 12 months we collected identifiers (email, account identifier, wallet addresses, IP address), commercial information (subscription and purchase records), user content (chart images), and inferences (AI reviews of your trading style), for the purposes above, and disclosed them only to the service providers listed. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Children
Chart Coach is for adults aged 18 and over and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, write to hello@chartcoach.app and we'll delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to our systems is limited to the developer, and your history is only available to your signed-in account. Our providers protect stored data with industry-standard security, including encryption at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep what we hold to what the service needs.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. For material changes we'll give you notice in advance, for example in the app or by email.
